Arabian Horses Arabian Photo

The highly decorated mares of Jerland Farm and National Champion stallion, MPA Giovanni, call these lovely rolling hills of Northwestern Wisconsin home. In breeding Arabian horses for over 35 years, Jerland has seen and created many show ring winners and foundations to breeding programs around the world. With the new focus on Giovanni and his foals, a breath of fresh excitement has been infused into the already highly successful program.

“Giovanni has given me and my family a new reason to be excited about horses again. He brings new meaning to Arabian Type. He is a complete horse – mind, physical appearance, athleticism, and heart. I am not afraid to let my grandchildren be around him. He is the kind of horse that I want to continue to breed.” says Larry Jerome, owner and founder of Jerland Farm.

Those kinds of sentiments are common words to be heard, not only about Giovanni, but also about his foals. Mike Van Handel, manager of the Giovanni program states, “The Giovanni foals are gaining the attention of breeders, owners and trainers around the world. They are appealing to a world wide market but what is most exciting is that every year they seem to get better – Not only with age, but with each subsequent foal crop. I can’t wait to see what next year brings us.”

Those involved with halter horses are already getting their hands on them, but even the performance folks out there are really taking an interest in the Giovanni foals. Indira Jerome has been an active competitor in the Western and Hunter Pleasure scene and comments “I can’t wait until these foals are three years old, under saddle and going into performance classes. They will be some of the most beautiful and athletic horses out there.”

All of us at Jerland invite you to take a look at what we, and Giovanni have to offer. You are each invited to plan a trip and stop by to meet Giovanni, his foals, and ladies in waiting in person. A visit is worth a thousand words. As the campaign “Destined to Impress” foretold, you may just leave very impressed!
